Arabian perfumes are already known for their longevity, but with these tips, you can maximize their performance.
1. Hydrate your skin before applying
Dry skin absorbs and dissipates perfume faster. Apply an unscented moisturizer before spraying your fragrance.
2. Apply to pulse points
Wrists, neck, behind the ears, and inside the elbows. These areas emit heat and activate aromatic molecules.
3. Do not rub your wrists
Rubbing breaks down perfume molecules and shortens their duration. Spray and let it air dry.
4. Apply on clothes
Arabian perfumes, especially highly concentrated ones, adhere very well to fabrics. The scent can last for days on clothes.
5. Spray in your hair
Hair retains the aroma for hours. Spray from 20cm away to avoid drying out your hair.
6. Store your perfumes correctly
Away from direct light, heat, and humidity. A dark cupboard at room temperature is the ideal place.
7. Apply petroleum jelly to pulse points
It creates a base that traps perfume molecules. A classic trick of Arabian perfumers.
8. Use layering
Combine an oud or musk oil as a base with your EDP on top. The layers complement each other and prolong the duration.
